Research Interests

The geochemistry of natural and restored habitats, particularly soil structure and function as well as water quality applications. Water quality analysis including nutrient determination using a Liquid Chromatograph and Total Organic Carbon and Nitrogen Analyzer; soil property analysis including total carbon and nitrogen determination using a FlashEA 1112 Elemental Analyzer and determination of basic soil physical properties, including bulk density, moisture content, and particle size. Other interests include land loss and habitat change analysis, subsidence and sea level rise investigation, remote sensing and GIS analysis, coastal geomorphology and process investigations, and coastal geology research.
